Description:

Responsible for the processing of loans files, from submission through disposition. Acts as a liaison between brokers, closing agents, and branch associates, ensuring quality service and and adherence to underwriting guidelines.

Job Functions:
· Maintains positive relationships with brokers, closing agents, account executives, and fellow associates.
· Contacts brokers to confirm receipt of loan package, program requested, rates and fees.
· Provides daily status to brokers and account executives on loans in process.
· Responds to Broker/Account Executive inquiries on loan conditions and/or documentation requested for approval or funding.
· Negotiates and problem solves pricing, program changes and reworks with mortgage broker.
· Recommends appropriate underwriting exceptions to an underwriter to satisfy broker’s needs.
· Signs off on conditions within approval authority.
· Monitors loans in process and follows-up on outstanding conditions.
· Reviews and updates Account Manager’s Log daily.
· Confirms loan terms, rates, and fees with broker prior to ordering loan documents drawn.
· Reviews HMDA data for accuracy on loans denied, approved but not accepted, withdrawn, or closed for incompleteness.
· Participate on Branch and Company-wide committees
· Work closely with AE and Senior AM reviewing pipeline to assess, strategize and determine what loans and when loans will fund.
· Empowered to enhance processes by assessing branch current process and offering solutions towards improvement.
· Help determine branch and long term goals by assess pipeline and strategizing ways to increasing fundings.
