Job Duties:
Assists General Counsel in all aspects of providing legal support to the Company. Provides litigation support to Legal Counsel and manages limited litigation caseload; conducts legal research and analyses; works with various areas of the company affected by changing laws; handles incoming legal process; special projects assigned by Vice President and General Counsel or Legal Counsel.
Qualifications:
· Degree from Certified Paralegal School
· Two Years Experience as Paralegal
· +--ellent writing skills;
· Excellent oral communication skills;
· Experience in reviewing, analyzing, researching, negotiating and resolving disputes and complaints, and in identifying and resolving complex problems;
· Working knowledge of mortgage loan documents and mortgage loan transactions;
· The ability to effectively research state and federal law, and to compile, organize, critically examine and research electronic and physical data and documents;
· Knowledge of mortgage loan servicing and real estate issues, including but not limited to foreclosure, bankruptcy and insurance issues, payment application methodology, reconveyances and releases, impound accounts (taxes and insurance), assumptions, modifications, prepayment penalties, etc.;
· Excellent analytical, interpersonal, organizational and problem-solving skills;
· Excellent computer skills with an emphasis on Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel;
Enthusiasm, a good sense of humor and the ability to work independently.
