Skills: Admitted to practice law in
California.
Experience in negotiating and drafting patent license
agreements and settlements.
Three or more years experience in
patent-related litigation, including experience in responding to patent
assertions, preparation of claim charts, responding to discovery requests,
drafting motions and briefs (particularly Markman-related briefs involving
disputes over claim construction), and management of miscellaneous
pre-trial matters.
Undergraduate and/or advanced degree in electrical
engineering, physics or computer science.
Excellent written and verbal
communications skills.

Description:
Provides legal advice regarding the
company''s intellectual property (IP). Assists in the management of
IP-related litigation. Duties include bringing and responding to patent
assertions and working with outside counsel during pre-trial and discovery
on IP-related lawsuits. Ensures compliance with court-ordered discovery
for lawsuits in which the company is involved as a party, as well as
requested third party discovery. Participates in negotiation and drafting
of IP-related licenses.
Key Responsibilities
* Manages outside
litigation counsel for IP-related litigation.
* Negotiates and drafts
intellectual property related licenses and litigation settlements.

Performs other duties as needed.
* Prepares internal risk assessments
for IP-related matters and other IP-related legal advice.
* Provides
discovery and pre-trial support in IP-related litigation.
* Responds to
patent assertions by providing complex technical and legal analyses to
asserted patents.
